The art of making cold process soap has been a fascinating and rewarding craft for me to discover. With some basic materials and safety equipment, you can make your own handcrafted soap. One of the benefits of soap making is to you can control the ingredients that go into the products that you use on your skin every day. You can also tailor the soap to include ingredients that will help with dryness, exfoliation, and other needs that are unique to your skin. Some of the fun elements of soap making are those pertaining to the fragrance that you use. We all know that smells can trigger memories. Your mom’s perfume, the smell of lilacs, fresh baked cookies can all evoke floods of memories in us. With soap making, you can combine fragrances that will soon become your signature fragrance. You can also use colors and soap molds that are tailored to your likes and preferences.
